Jinja based professional golfer, Emmanuel Opio Onito has clinched the 2014 Entebbe Golf Open Professional category.

Onito shot 1 under par 70 in the first 18 of the Lake Side course in Entebbe before firing 5 over par 76 to amass a total of 149.
He thus beat other 11 professionals after scoring 149 over 36 holes.

The soft spoken Jinja based golfer registered 4 birdies (on holes 7 and 14 two times) at the end of the day long action where he scored double boggies on holes 4 and 17.
The course was excellent but sometimes golf scores returned can be disappointing even in the best conditions
said Opio, who played alongside his twin brother, Ocici, Brian Toolit and Herman Mutawe.
Towering golfer, Ian Odokonyero came second with 151 gross, tying with Herman Mutawe.

The final day action of the Entebbe swung into action on Saturday morning with merry making expected later in the day with the closing ceremony where trophies will be presented to the excelling individuals, wining, dinner and dance till late.
