AFCON 2015 group E qualifiers: Wed, 19th November 2014
Guinea Vs Uganda – Morocco
Ghana Vs Togo – Tamale
Ahead of the Uganda Cranes Wednesday’s crucial 2015 African cup of nations (AFCON) 2015 qualifier against Guinea, Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)’s advance team is already in Morocco.
FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Edgar Watson sacrificed watching Ghana at Namboole Stadium as he traveled to Morocco to make adequate preparations for the Cranes. Ahmed Hussein, FUFA’s official spokesman confirmed to Kawowo Sports.
FUFA’s CEO (Watson) is already in Morocco to make thorough bookings for the team.
The team will be accommodated at the state of the art Hotel Casablanca Le Lido Thalasso and Spa in the Moroccan capital, Casablanca.
Uganda Cranes players have had a light training session at the team’s Ntinda based Sky Hotel in Kampala and are set to travel to Morocco via Doha with Qatar Airways. Fred ‘Malibu’ Katende, the Uganda Cranes mouthpiece confirmed to Kawowo Sports.
We just had light sessions at the hotel after a very physical match against Ghana on Saturday
Sentamu Out:
AS Vita striker, Yunus Sentamu, limped out of Uganda’s 1-0 win over Ghana after 30 minutes is most probably out of the team’s plans for the clash against Guinea, who won away in Lome 1–4 over Togo.
Sentamu’s place is most likely to be taken over by Tusker’s Aucho Khalid. The holding midfielder did not make the bench for the game against Ghana at Namboole Stadium.
Gor Mahia left back, Godfrey ‘Jaja Walu’ Walusimbi who missed the Ghana home game due to suspension will most probably make the trip.
Uganda Cranes depart from Entebbe International Airport on Sunday afternoon at 6PM.
