Bright Stars football club kept their home record in the national league at the Mwerere home fortress intact with a non-scoring draw against Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) on Friday.

The goal-less fixture follows September 19th 2014′ s first round corresponding tie which also ended all square in a one all draw at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi.

Back then, Meddie Kakeeto had given the Kawempe based outfit a 4th minute lead before the tax collectors’ side rallied back with the equalizer barely 4 minutes on the clock where Robert Sentongo hit the equalizer.

The result ended Bright Stars’ 3 match losing streak after the 0-3 drubbing to Bul in Jinja, 1-2 league home loss to the same side and 1-2 heart breaking loss to Soana at Kavumba last week.

After either teams created a series of half chances and failed to convert, the result implies URA register their 9th draw of the current campaign and Bright Stars have picked the 10th draw.

URA remains glued in 4th place on 39 points with all chances of winning this season’s championship ‘officially’ extinguished at Mweerere.

Bright Stars have picked 34 points and lie 7th on the 16 team log.

Alex Isabirye’s URA visit Kira Young at the Nelson Mandela national stadium, Namboole on Tuesday, 28th April 2015 and Bright Stars shall be at home in their next fixture against Lweza on the international Labour day (1st May 2015).
