International Build Up Game: Uganda Vs Malawi

6th July 2015 – Kamuzu Stadium, Blantyre

Bright Stars goal keeper, Mathias Kigonya and Maroons midfielder, Abel Eturude are among the surprise packs that will make the Uganda Kobs’ away trip to Blantyre for the July 6th international build up with Malawi at the Kamuzu Stadium.

Kigonya will be joined by James Alitho as the two traveling goal keepers.

They are joined by 16 outfield players who depart Sunday morning aboard South African Airlines.

On top of the defenders who played against Tanzania on Saturday, Ibrahim Kiyemba and Richard Kasagga Juuko have been included along with right back Denis Okot.

Head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic had already expressed the intention to take an U-23 side in preparation for the upcoming match against Egypt.

Abel Eturude and Tadeo Lwanga are the new faces in the midfield department where Muzamiru Mutyaba has been left behind.

CS Safien Striker, Yunus Junior Sentamu and SC Villa new catch, Umar Kasumba make the team traveling.

Malawi started training last Monday at the Chiwembe stadium and the new coach, Ernest Mtawali, who replaced Young Chimodzi named a team of 25 locally based players.

Uganda will play Malawi as part of the celebrations to mark the country’s independence.
