Benon Mugisha says Dickens Otim’s performance against Nemostars was “phenomenal”, adding the player’s superb form continues to surprise him.
Otim produced the goods as Sport-S picked a hard fought five set win against Nemostars on Friday night at Lugogo Arena.
The Benon Mugisha coached side won in sets 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 25-27, 15-9 to assume table leadership with 20 points, even with KAVC but Sport-S boosts a better point ratio.
“He was phenomenal,” said Benon Mugisha. “He keeps surprising me because even when half fit, he can do a great job for the team”
“When you watch him play he looks to be a player of class. So when he begins to train, he gets even better.” Mugisha said.
After the victory, Otim who was celebrating his birthday was applauded by sections of crowd- and some of his teammates poured water on birthday boy after the game.
