Build Up Result:
- Express F.C 1–1 Police F.C
Express Football Club and Police Football Club played to a one all draw in yet another build up game to the new season at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Wednesday afternoon.
The Eagles fell to an early strike from Police when Ben Ocen squared for Hood Kaweesa and the latter set up Godfrey Kateregga whose long range effort beat goal keeper Martin Elungati before it settled at the back of the net for the stunning opener.
Police were the better side for long spells of the game with territorial dominance and short crispy passing although expanding on the lead remained their only undoing.
Having led the match from its opening stages until late in the added three minutes of normal time, the visitors were deserved winners but Express rallied to salvage home prestige as they scored through second half substitute Martin Bunjo.
New Express players, Michael Mutyaba and Ceaser Okhuti were not fielded for varying reasons.
The result means Express has not yet won nor lost any build up game in the pre-season thus far having drawn with Maroons (2-2), Uganda U-23 team (1-1), Bright Stars (2-2) and now with Police F.C (1-1).
Police overcame Kwetekamu F.C 3-1 and lost 2-1 to Simba in some of the build up games played before.
