CHAN 2016: Rwanda
Djibril Drame head coach of the Mali national team named a provisional team of 30 players for preparations of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) due next month.
The players, majority of whom have been with the Mali U-23 team in the CAF underage championship in Senegal started residential training ahead of the championship in Bamako, the capital City.
Malien De Bamako has the most players on the team (six) with the other teams contributing are; Onze Createurs, CSK, ASKO, AS Real, Djoliba, Usfas, AS Bakaridian, COB and Nianan football clubs.
Mali is pooled in group D alongside Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The tournament gets underway on the 16th January 2016 in Rwanda, but Mali will open up their group campaign with a match against Uganda on 19th January in Rubavu.
