At present situation, to tag Simba Sports Club and Uganda Cranes forward, Hamis ‘Diego’ Kizza ‘a demi scoring god’ befittingly suits the day.

The goal hungry lad cannot just stop celebrating for the right cause – after finding the back of the net.

Inside five days, the diminutive but combative striker has netted four times in two different Simba Sports Club victories in the Tanzanian elite league.

Last Saturday, the striker christened ‘Diego’ after the legendary Diego Maradona of the Argentina fame for his eye for the back of the net, scored a brace against African Sports.

On Wednesday, he repeated the same feat in Simba’s 5-1 victory at the hands of Mgambo Shooting Stars in a league duel.

The former Kasawo S.S student who had a stint at Kooki Ssaza, Nalubaale, URA and Simba’s rivals, Yanga opened the scoring as early as the 5th minute of the game.

Mwinyo Kazimoto doubled the lead 23 minutes later before Ibrahim Hajibu made sure the half time break ended 3-0 in favour of Simba.

Dani Lyanga scored the other five minutes later as Diego returned to seal his double eight minutes from full time.

Just like he secured a hat-trick against Kagera Sugar ,this time round, missing a penalty stopped his mission.

Simba is also home to the Jackson Mayanja (head coach) and two other Ugandans, left winger Brian Majwega and defender Murushid Jjuuko.

In some of the other results on the day, Tanzanian Prisons and Yanga Africans shared the spoils in a 4 goal thriller.

The same scoreline was reflected in the Mtibwa Sugar versus Toto Africans fixture.

African Sports optimally used the home advantage fixture to squeeze a 1-0 win against Mwadui in a closely contested encounter.

TPL Selected Results:

Tanzania Prisons 2 – 2 Young Africans

Mtibwa Sugar 2 – 2 Toto Africans

African Sports 1 – 0 Mwadui FC
