Ivory Coast international Souleymane Coulibaly has been granted international clearance to debut at Newport County in England’s League Two.

The striker is likely to feature in their encounter at Yeovil on Saturday following a long wait since joining on loan from Peterborough a week ago.

Fifa, world football’s governing body, according to BBC was “shut down at 11:00 GMT for Easter last Thursday,” and now the paperwork has been completed.

Coulibaly began his international career with Côte d’Ivoire national under-17 football team at the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He has had stints at Siena in Italy, Tottenham Hotspur, Peterborough United, and now Newport County on loan until the end of the 2015-16 season.
