Soana vs Bul – Kavumba, 4:00pm

Following the death of Cranes goalie Abel Dhaira, Soana and Bul will miss the services of his family members when the two clash at Kavumba on Saturday.

The hosts are without goalie Eric Dhaira, young brother to the deceased whilst the visitors are minus goalkeeping coach Bright Dhaira – father to the late Abel.

For this reason, both teams have vowed to win it for family as part of celebrating the deceased’s life.

“The boys have vowed to win it for Eric (Dhaira) who lost his brother,” said Soana coach, Charles Ayiekho. “We have already beaten Bul twice this season and so they will be willing to revenge but we are ready for the game as well,” he added.

The mood is similar at Bul with assistant coach David ‘Kiwa’ Kiwanuka saying they want to win it for their missing coach as part of consoling the family.

“Bright has been an instrumental figure to the team (Bul) but that aside, we are also grossly affected by the sad news,” Bul assistant Coach David ‘Kiwa’ Kiwanuka told UPL after the team’s last training session in Jinja.

“The camp has been moody because most of the players have been his friends. Apart from that he (Bright) introduced me to football those days at Umeme. Abel used to visit me frequently when he reported and so i take him like my son. We have reasons to win tomorrow’s game,” he added.

Soana are sixth on the log with 31 points while Bul are eleventh with five points less.
