KCCA manager Mike Mutebi was full of praise for goalie Benjamin Ochan in the aftermath of yet another match winning performance in the 1-1 draw against Lweza.

Ochan saved his side from going down when he took care of Emma Kalyowa penality and also made two first half saves to deny the hosts from scoring as his side salvaged a point.

Mutebi in a post-match interview described him as fantastic and that he gives the team confidence.

“His performance was fantastic,” he said. “He is the old Benjamin. Of course he promised much when he had come to the scene and is coming back to the mantle and it is pleasing. Of course when your goalkeeper is good, he gives u confidence as a team,” he added.

On the team performance in the stalemate, the ex-SC Villa, Cranes and Maroons tactician said it was good but they lacked efficiency.

“The performance was good. The only problem is we were not efficient. We were in control of the game, circulated the ball well, created chances but we did not put them away.”

On the title run, Mutebi who has never won a league title in his coaching career said it’s still early days.

“It’s still early days but we have added point to whatever we have. We didn’t lose and we are not worried. If we were not creating chances, we would be worried but we are now working on how to put the chances away.”

KCCA lead the log on 48 points; six better than second placed Vipers who have played one game less.
