When two Elgon group clubs, Lira United and Baza Holdings lock horns at the Kawempe Muslim play grounds on Thursday evening, one team – the visiting side will not have their head coach, Richard Tamale Pinto Kiwanuka on the bench.
Tamale was left in Lira when the club traveled to Kawempe for their big league match against Baza Holdings F.C.
Formerly at Entebbe Young and Artland Katale, Tamale finds himself in a tricky situation now at the Northern Uganda side.
“No one bothered to call me when the team was leaving in the morning and I am very shocked I was left back in Lira. I am not sure whether it is a ploy by the team officials to get rid of me although I remain in top class relations with the team director” Tamale stated.
Joackim Ojara is looked at the main source for goals for Lira United against another struggling side – Baza Holdings.
Lira United is currently 11th with just 13 points earned in 19 games as Baza Holdings is bottom of the table with 12 points from 18 games.
