Uganda Cranes and Simba defender, Murushid Jjuuko has acknowledged the fact that he faced the most aggressive forwards in his budding but promising career when Uganda played Botswana.

The lads (Botswana forwards) were giants but I was ready to face them, possess and pass the ball around to my teammates with ease.

I have previously faced tough, big forwards but these ones were amazing.

The former Entebbe Young, Entebbe Red Cross, SC Victoria University defender faced the Botswana skipper Joel Mogorosi, Lesenya Ramoraka, Ngele Mogakolodi and second half substitute, Onkabetse Makgantai of Orapa Unted.

The latter managed to slide and score past Onyango from a seemingly offside position.

Jjuuko has formed a rocksolid partnership with St George defender Isaac Isinde since coming in for Andrew Mwesigwa at the heart of defence.

He attests that each match with the national team has been a learning experience.

We learn new things time and again every day. Each match on the national team is a great opportunity to learn and share knowledge with other players.

Jjuuko earned crucial playing time with the Uganda Cranes team that won the 39th CECAFA crown in Ethiopia.

He now awaits the most important match of the campaign on 3rd September 2016 when Uganda hosts Comoros at Nelson Mandela National stadium, Kampala.
