Onduparaka Football Club has threatened to pull out of the Uganda Cup final slated for Saturday against Vipers should their captain Muhammed Shaban be ruled out of the tie.
According to the Onduparaka Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Afeti, they have worked diligently to see that club reaches thus far.
A bitter Afeti, on hearing the news that Vipers had petitioned FUFA questioning Shaban Muhammed’s presence with the club answered;
We groomed the boy (Muhammed Shaban) since childhood.
Ever since he played bare footed to his first football boot, we were with him and the family was well aware.
If Vipers claim they own the player now, did they pick him from the blue?
If it is true he signed, we would have been atleast notified. This is all injustice to deny the good works of our sweat.
We shall not play the finals without him.
Vipers on Wednesday morning through their Chief Executive Officer Peter Lwanga filed a petition to FUFA with a wish to block Shaban, the tournament top scorer with seven goals so far from playing in the highly epic final.
FUFA is supposed to answer to the petition as promised.
