Uganda Cranes’ Micheal Azira featured for Colorado Rapids and the visiting outfit settled for a 2-2 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday.

The Rapids’ club-record unbeaten streak was extended to 13 games thanks to Axel Sjöberg’s last second equalizer after Cristian Techera had given the home side a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute.

Kendall Waston opened the scores for Vancouver in the 10th minute when he sent a header past Tim Howard after his compatriot Christian Bolaños found him at the back post with a perfectly-placed cross.

Kevin Doyle put one past David Ousted off a great through ball from Shkëlzen Gashi to level for Rapids in the second half, but Eric Miller blundered, forcing a penalty for the opponents.

Cristian Techera converted from the spot in the 87th minute. Rapids were convinced of a defeat till late on when Sjöberg’s last second equalizer turned all the fortunes.
