Amid reports that Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder Yassar Mugerwa could leave Orlando Pirates, the latest development regarding player movement away from the club points to his exit.
According to South African football website kickoff.com, Mugerwa is among the few players left behind in Johannesburg as the team heads North West to Potchefstroom for a pre-season training camp.
The coach has taken only the players he wants to work with next season. Mugerwa is among those left behind.
Mugerwa was one of the players who reported for duty at the club’s start of the pre-season training on July 4 and vowed to work for success under head coach Muhsin Ertugral.
I love my job. I will work for success at Orlando Pirates. I love to be part of the winning team with incredible individual contribution.
It remains to be seen whether Mugerwa who was not included on the official list of players going out released by the club last Wednesday will stay with the side.
The other players at Pirates set for the exit door include Lehlohonolo Majoro, Felipe Ovono, Rooi Mahamutsa, Lehlohonolo Masalesa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Sifiso Myeni
