Zesco’s goals were scored by Jackson Mwanza in the 54th and 56th minute in a contest Were had his one on one efforts saved twice by Onyango.
Khama Billiat gave Sundowns some lifeline as he pulled a goal back with three minutes to full time.
The former Tusker striker has already scored four goals for Zesco in the Champions League and is also the current leading scorer in the Zambian League with 14 goals.
