Moroto district is set to host its first ever match of the second national league tier, the FUFA Big League on Thursday.

This will be the home team’s first home match when Moroto United host Kira United at the Moroto Sports Council Grounds.

The two clubs are newly promoted to the Big League and will eye maximum points after their opening week blushes.

Meanwhile, Mbale based Kataka Football Club seek for their second victory with an away visit to play Sun City in Kasese.

The match will take place at the Nyakasanga play ground in the heart of the sunny and mountainous town of Kasese.

Kataka were early birds in Kasese having left Mbale on Monday as a means to acclimatize to the conditions of Kasese.

“We traveled early because every game matters to us,” Peter Lusimbula, a left footed player who captained the side to the Big League told Kawowo Sports in an earlier interview.

Elsewhere, Simba hosts Paidha Black Angels at the Mashariki High school off Entebbe road.

Lira’s Bright Light will entertain Kyambogo Football Club in Lira. Water Football Club, who fell to Hope Doves in the last game on Saturday will this time round host Baza Holdings at Kibuli S.S play ground.

Baza Holdings triumphed 2-1 in their home game against debutants Airtel-Kitara from Hoima.

Airtel-Kitara themselves face Kireka United at the dry, barren and dusty Boma play ground in the heart of Hoima Municipality.

After Thursday’s games, the league will take a one day break before resuming on Saturday.

Three clubs shall be promoted to the Uganda Premier League at the end of the season.
