Uganda Cranes’ defender Henry Kalungi has appreciated Charlotte Independence fans’ support they have offered the outfit despite suffering exit from the USL playoffs.
Independence were bundled out by defending league champion the Rochester Rhinos with a final score of 3-1 on Saturday.
Wal Fall and Steevan Dos Santos each scored before halftime for the Rhinos, while Sofiane Tergou added a third from close range in the 70th minute.
Even though the loss left many displeased, Kalungi – who started before being replaced in 78th minute by Joseph Greenspan – felt the fans did their part from the start of the season, clearly lauding them for their efforts.
Want to thk all our fans 4 the support through out the season. Not the way we wanted to end but thank you all.@CLTIndependence @QC_FC @USL
