Uganda Cranes’ midfielder Moses Oloya played all the minutes of Kuban Krasnodar’s 2-1 win over rivals Yenisey in the Russian National League on Saturday.
Oloya inspired the team and contributed immensely, Kuban getting the opener through Olexiy Gai. The 33-year-old found the back of the net in the 36th minute.
Yenisey’s Vladimirs Kamešs found the equalizer with three minutes to the break, but when the sides returned, Kuban’s Sergei Bendz restored the host’s lead.
He slotted home in the 50th minute.
Kuban successfully held on to their lead till the final whistle, eventually moving out of relegation zone to 14th on the table standings. They have amassed 16 points, 19 behind leaders Dinamo Moskva.
