CAF Confederation Cup final (1st Leg): Mouloundia Olympique De Bejai 1-1 TP Mazembe
Jonathan Mpangi Bolingi’s well taken penalty for TP Mazembe will mean a lot for the Democratic Republic of Congo based side ahead of the return leg for CAF Confederation cup against Algerian side, Mouloundia Olympique De Bejai.
Bolingi’s opener was canceled by Faouzi Yaya at the intimidating Stade Mustapha Tchaker El Bouleïda in Blida.
Mazembe took the lead with four minutes to the mandatory half time break when goalkeeper Rahmani brought down striker Roger Assale in the forbidden area.
Bolingi confidently stood up and beat Rahmani who had guessed right to dive on his stronger right foot.
Yaya’s 66th minute equalizer was a beauty to watch following a well curled free-kick from over 30 yards.
The second leg comes next Sunday, November 06 at Stade du TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi.
