BUL 3-1 JMC Hippos
Bul Football Club condemned JMC Hippos to their 9th loss of the season in 11 outings following a 3-1 comprehensive victory in one of the many Jinja derbies played at Kakindu stadium.
Yunus Sibira headed BUL ahead in the 37th minute after a teasing cross from Titus Lubega.
A minute to the half time whistle, Blaize Nkolo doubled the lead with Sibira providing the assist off a cheeky and lovely back heel following a defensive mix up between goalie Michael Nantamu and his defender Constantine Nalumoso.
The goal was bitterly protested by the JMC Hippos players who thought there had been a foul in the run to the strike.
Before the goals, the match had been a balanced affair with BUL dominating possession but JMC Hippos quicker on the break.

BUL XI that faced JMC Hippos
BUL right back Umar Mukobe and winger Lubega swung in enticing crosses but they weer easy catches for goalie Nantamu.
JMC Hippos’ closest chance of the opening half was when skipper Herbert Kakande had a free-kick from 20 yards tipped over the bar by goalkeeper Paul Mujampwani.
The start of the second half witnessed a change for JMC Hippos when Herbert Odipio, formerly at BUL was introduced.
At this time, there were all signs in a change of weather as dark clouds engulfed the Kakindu skies.
Indeed, the heavy dark skies finally set loose with drizzles that later transformed into a downpour but play still continued as the fans ran for nearby shelters.

Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos XI
JMC Hippos’ veteran defender Musa Walangira was cautioned for a malicious tackle on Kalisa as the game intensity grew with time.
Still in the rains, JMC Hippos pressed forward to at least pull a goal back but the opposition defence led by skipper Derrick Walulya remained water tight.
With the minutes fast trickling away, veteran Yudah Mugalu, formerly at SC Villa, Victors, Motema Pembe and Lweza rounded off goalie Nantamu and laid the ball for second half substitute Shaka Ssozi who tapped home the third.

In the 2nd minute of added time, industrious forward Ajab Abdulrahim pulled a goal back for JMC Hippos, one whose purpose among others was merely to decorate the final score-line for a respectable second worthy look.
The victory for BUL is their second of the season, good enough to displace Kirinya – Jinja S.S in 13th place as they have now accumulated 10 points.
JMC on the other hand remain win-less in 11 outings.
