Sports Club Villa Jogoo will on Friday take on the current FUFA Big League (Rwenzori Group) log leaders, Masavu F.C in a friendly game.

The development was confirmed on Thursday as the two sides continue to prepare for their respective season ambitions.

The match arrives at a time the Jogoos have been planning for a yet to be confirmed foreign trip to Vietnam.

SC Villa head coach Shafiq Bisaso comes face to face with a very cagey side, one that he was coaching last season in the FUFA Big League.

Bisaso is expected to give playing time to a number of his players who have not been actively involved in the season.

With first choice goalie Yasin Mugabi off for greener pastures in the United Arab Emirates, Bisaso would wish to test Samson Kirya as he is Ashadu Bugembe’s direct understudy.

The returning Bernard Muwanga (recovering from a fractured tibia bone), Vitalis Tabu (missed last game against Bright Stars), Mike Sserumaga (limited playing time), Ambrose Kirya, Sina Jerom, Ivorian forward Boue are all expected to be given a run into the game at some stage.

Masavu head coach, Allan Kabonge (who guided Onduparaka to the top league last season) believes the friendly match against SC Villa will offer his side a perfect test ahead of next week’s voyage to Hoima where they will face Boma Young Football Club on Thursday.

I like such matches. They offer my players a great platform to showcase their abilities as we prepare for the Boma Young game next week

On Thursday, Masavu overcame visiting Kireka United 2-1 to open a five point lead at the top of the Rwenzori Group.
