The long awaited kick off date for the 2016/17 Uganda Cup has been confirmed as 3rd December 2016 with the non-league clubs in action.

This will be the 43rd edition of the tournament that is played on a knock out basis.

Registration fees:

Uganda Premier League (Ug.shs 300,000), FUFA Big League (Ug.shs 250,000), FUFA Regional League (Ug.shs 150,000), DFA Fourth Division Clubs (Ug.shs 100,000), DFA Fifth Division clubs (Ug.shs 100,000) and Non League clubs / teams (Ug.shs 300,000).

The main draws for the this edition will be held on the 11th January 2017 and the Round of 64 starts on 21st January 2017.

23 teams from the preliminary rounds shall be determined through allocation of slots for the entire country by FUFA Regions.

Kampala (4 teams), Buganda Region (3 teams), Western Region (3 teams), North East Region (3 teams), Kitara Region (2 teams), West Nile Region (2 teams), Northern Region (2 teams).

The registration procedure at the FUFA Regions will end by the 2nd December 2016.

The final is slated for the weekend of 2nd – 4th June 2017 in Arua (West Nile).

Defending champions, Vipers will to represent Uganda in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup.
