
The second round of FIM Africa, Central Africa Motocross Championship revved off on Saturday at the Jamhuri Race Track in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda and Kenya resumed their rivalry despite both countries having less representatives this time round.
Although Uganda started the competition with a 687 points lead ahaed of Kenya, their performance in Heat One did not much up to the anticipations.
Uganda was beaten to points in five categories. Only Aviv Orland, Barak Orland and Miguel Katende managed to come top in the MX85, Vet class and 50peewee respectively.
Team captain Maxime Van Pee was unfortunate in his race as he suffered a puncture to finish fourth in the MX1 class.
“It all came bad for me, but I will try and catch up tomorrow. We are all working together to make sure we with the title and its possible for us.”
The race continues tomorrow with two heats before the 2016 champions are announced.
