Four finals and four championships. That is how good City Oilers have been since their promotion to the National Basketball League.

And on Sunday night they sealed their legacy as the most dominant side in the history of the local game. Even Falcons of the yesteryears could only manage three in a raw.

Game 5 was more like the Oilers game as they dominated the game from right from tip-off through to the finals.

While head coach Mandy Juruni joked “I will be happy to win the championship by luck,” earlier in the series as his side struggled to fend off Power, the soft spoken coach who was winning his fifth straight league title as a coach saw his charges run out to an early 14-3 lead and never looked back.

“It feels good winning but every win feels different,” Juruni told Kawowo Sports. “As a team we set targets at the start of the year (2016) and we have achieved all,” he added.

Jimmy Enabu led Oilers’ charge with 15 points that were matched by Jonah Otim who connected 3-pointers at will. Kami Kabange who was playing his last game for Oilers scored 14 points while Landry Ndikumana had 10.

Joseph Ikong and Micheal Makiadi were the only Power players to reach double figures and scored 13 points apiece.
