Uganda Cup (Round of 32): Soana 0-2 Vipers

A goal in each half from Tony Odur and Moses Waiswa ensured Vipers Sports Club register a 2-0 win over Soana in the Uganda Cup Round of 32 at Kavumba Recreational Stadium on Sunday evening.
It took Odur just 25 minutes to find the opener when he out jumped the defenders to brush home past former Vipers’ goalie Meddie Kibirige off Dan Birikwalilwa’s delivery.
Waiswa, a mid-season signing, tapped home winger Duncan Seninde’s low cross from the left for the winner, 10 minutes to full time.
Vipers now complete the full list of successful clubs at the Round of 16 stage ahead of the draws.
Vipers are the cup holders after defeating Arua side, Onduparaka 3-1 during last year’s final played at Nakivubo Stadium.
The winner of the Uganda Cup qualifies to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
