Sulaimon Akinyemi and Robert Ssentongo head the list of players most likely to leave KCCA this transfer window.

Mike Mutebi is planning his third primary transfer window in charge of the Kasasiro and is expected to tweak his squad in a bid to keep a team capable of defending the league and Cup double next season plus challenge for continental honours next year.

After massive over haul of players in his previous two windows, Mutebi isn’t expected to be much involved in bringing in new faces but promote from within.

Nevertheless, it’s hard not expect changes ahead of the new season.

Already, the club has confirmed the signing of former SC Villa and Victor’s midfielder Muhammad Abdallah and he joins Ibrahim Saddam Juma who joined way before the season closed.

No further dealings from outside Lugogo have been mentioned but rumour is ripe the club may make a shock bid for Onduparaka forward Muhammad Shaban.

From within, Julius Poloto, Allan Okello, Lawrence Bukenya, Mustafa Kizza, Robert Magambo, Jackson Nunda and Hassan Wasswa Dazo are expected to be regularly used next season.

Meanwhile, Ssentongo and Akinyemi are the most likely to leave KCCA this window.

The duo has struggled for playing time under Mutebi and with their contracts expiring, it’s hard to see them being retained or even accepting new deals.

Also likely to leave are midfielders Isaac Kirabira and Ivan Ntege who have been ignored for most of the matches in the last quarter of the season.

The duo also has their deals at Lugogo getting done in July and unless otherwise, at least one will leave.

There are also reports of unhappiness from Brian Majwega who has had a stop start season but still remains with 12 months running on his contract.

Vincent Kayizzi’s contract will also expire in July but his form has risen at the right time and may be considered for contract renewal, subject to two sides agreeing.

But above all, the club is poised to lose arguably their best attacking midfielder in recent years in Tom Masiko after contract talks between the two parties stalled.
