Ronald Musana targets a better second outing with Nakumatt after what he describes as an average first half of the Kenya Premier League so far.
The Ugandan midfielder moved to the Kenyan moneybags in January from league champions KCCA and has featured mainly on the right side of midfield on the team.
“So far, I don’t think we have produced our best yet,” Musana told Kawowo Sports. “But we target a massive improvement in the second half of the season though that should start next weekend against Sofapaka,” he added.
The former SC Villa and The Saints forward grabbed for goals as his side booked a slot in the round of 32 after mauling Bigot FC 8-2 at Afraha stadium, Nakuru on Sunday.
It’s a pleasure to get on the score sheet and scoring four makes me even happier. But the most important thing is the team and is glad we progressed.
Musana also hailed his teammates and coaching staff for helping him settle at the club.
Playing on the familiar right wing, with the likes of Captain Nzuki, Aswani, Robert Omunuk, and the rest of the team, they help me give my best. Technical bench is awesome, though the system seemed so difficult to adapt to for all of us at the start. Looking forward to finish strong in second leg.
Musana has so far assisted five goals in the KPL in which Nakumatt sits 10th on the log with 19 points from 13 games.
