UPDF Football Club has confirmed the departure of seven players ahead of the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League.

Former Uganda Cranes hard working midfielder Noah ‘Babadi’ Kasule is among the exiting players.

Kasule, Moses Lubega, John Wakalaita, Ivan ‘Kalolo’ Kiweewa and left back Augustine Walusimbi will not have their contracts renewed.

The club also blessed the transfers of utility player Rogers ‘Modest’ Aloro and hard working right back Aggrey Kirya to Sofapaka and Onduparaka respectively.

Under the tutelage of Uganda Cranes assistant coach Moses Basena as head coach and his assistant John Kayanja, UPDF is set to represent Uganda at the 2017 East African Military games next month.

“Training is underway and I can confirm the player who have left us. The recruitment is on-going slowly by slowly,” Kayanja disclosed.

UPDF struggled last term and nearly went to the drop zone.

Previously known as The Saints, they finished 12th last term with 33 points.
