Hours after ushering in a new technical team, Kirinya-Jinja S.S has started on a massive player recruitment drive.
Already, seven new players have been signed by the Jinja based club.
Paidha Black Angels trio of Fred Amaku, Nesta Sabil and goalkeeper Emmanuel Rubangkane are joined by Jimmy Jalendo, Willy Makuro (JMC Hippos), right back Andrew Basoma (Sadolin Paints) and left back Faizo Muledhu.
The club’s Public Relations Officer Paul ‘Brazilian’ Kulumba clarifies on the state of the players at the club.
“Each of the 7 players were invited by the technical team as the pre-season training started. They are being looked with a keen eye,” Kulumba stated.
The development arrives at a time the club named former Lweza coach Hamza Kalanzi and Ahmed Kongola as head coach and CEO respectively for the next two years.
Hassan Zungu is the new assistant coach while Abbey ‘Capello’ Bogere Kikomeko (who been head coach) is the new Director of Youth Football at the club.
Former Uganda Cranes exciting midfielder Hakim ‘Boda Boda’ Magumba is maintained as the club Director of Football.
The club has lost striker George Senkaaba who was recruited by Sports Club Villa Jogoo.
During their debut season, Kirinya-Jinja S.S finished 10th on the 16 team log with 33 points.
They have commenced their pre-season training ahead of the fresh 2017-18 season.
