- Inter Clube 89-67 ASB New Generation

After staying away from the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for over a decade, Angola side Inter Club de Luanda announced their return to the table of men with an 89-67 win over Congolese champions New Generation.
The two sides matched shot for shot early in the opening quarter but Inter Clube started to pull away deep in the frame and closed out with a 25-18 lead.
Inter Club had a 9 points (45-36) advantage at halftime and maintained the offensive momentum through the third quarter to carry a double-digit lead into the fourth quarter.
Emmanuel Isungu tried to keep the New Generation in the game early in the final period but Egidio Ventura took charge for Inter Clube scoring 11 of his team high 23 points in the period backed by Joa Jungo (12 points). Henry Uhwegu (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Angolan side.
Meanwhile, Isugu poured in game high 27 points in a losing effort. Bobo Kasongo Kasasa and Jericho Samuna also riched double figures for the Congolese side with 15 and 13 points respectively.
Next Games
Both sides return to action tomorrow. Inter Clube will take on Kano Pillars as New Generation will be up against hosts Etoile Sportive Rades
