Philip Wokorach is ruled out for at least six weeks after sustaining an injury during the Dubai 7s earlier this month.

The Kabras Sugar and Uganda Rugby Cranes winger sprained his ankle at the Dubai 7s and consequently missed Cape Town 7s.

Wokorach who has already missed the opening four matches of the 2017-18 Kenya Cup season told Raga House he will return mid-January.

“Any team would miss a player of his caliber, so we will now focus on his rehab and get him playing as soon as possible,” Kabras head coach Charles Cardovillis told Raga House.

The former Heathens star will most likely be ready for clashes against Homeboyz, Kisii, KCB and Blak Blad.

The 2017-18 Kenya Cup is being played in a one-way format with top two teams automatically making semis while position three to six will head for playoffs.

Playoffs will be played on Saturday March 3 with semis set for March 10 and the final on March 17, 2018.
