Proline goalkeeper Keni Saidi saved two post match penalties as his club progressed to the quarter final of the 2017/18 Uganda Cup.

This was after a tense nail biting 4-2 post match penalty victory over Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) at the Bombo Military stadium on Wednesday.

Normal time for this round of  16 encounter ended goal-less.

In the shoot out, defender Savio Kabugo as well as midfielders David Owori, Sula Matovu and Noordin Bunjo converted.

Proline and Uganda U-20 goalkeeper Keni saved two penalties.

In the other round of 16 matches played on the day, fourth division side, Kampala Junior Team (KJT) overcame top flight side BUL 2-1 on a wet Villa Park surface.

Reigning champions, KCCA also booked their berth to the last 8 with a 4-3 post match penalty victory over Soana after a 2 all draw in normal time.

Meanwhile, Synergy won 2-1 away to Busula in the other game.

The rest of matches will be played on Thursday.
