jonathan egau goes past daniel jjuko oilers vs ucu

After completing his basketball scholarship at Uganda Christian University, there was always one destination for Jonathan Egau.

The former UCU Canons guard joined five-time National Basketball League champions City Oilers to replace departing Jonah Otim.

“We do not do re-enforcement without purpose. We add players after proper scouting – looking at how they will fit into the team and what their contribution will be,” Oilers manager Muhamed Santur told Kawowo Sports.

“We are adding Jonathan Egau who completed his education at UCU to replace Jonah Otim and we have also signed the young boy Ivan (Muhwezi),” Santur confirmed.

Ivan Muhwezi is a national U18 team graduate who played at the 2016 African Championship in Kigali Rwanda.

The young shooting guard has in the past practiced with KIU Titans and played for the side during last year’s off season tournaments.
