The Hippos will host Cameroon in the first leg at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday, May 12 as they continue their pursuit for a place at juniors tournament that will be hosted by Niger  next year.

Head Coach Mathias Lule confirmed to the federation website a total of 26 players who feature in the Uganda Premier League, FUFA Big League, Regional Leagues and Schools.

AMUS College goalkeeper Solomon Okello as well as Bashir Kagiri who plays for the French side AS Beziers and Herbert Katongole (Kansai Plascon) have been summoned for the camp.

Players as Allan Okello, Julius Poloto and Mustafa Kizza (KCCA), Steven Mukwala, Frank Tumwesigye and Geoffrey Wasswa (Vipers) and Fred Okot (URA) didn’t travel with the team to Jinja due club commitments but will join later.

The team played a warm up game against Premier League side Bul FC with the match ending in a goalless draw.

However, Lule was pleased with his boys;

It was a good match that gave my players an opportunity to feel what exactly they should expect on Saturday. We know the team we are going to play and their quality but these boys are very much determined to deliver.
