Bright Stars registered a well worked victory on the road, defeating BUL 2-1 at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Wednesday.
Team skipper Nelson Senkatuka gave the visiting side the lead two minutes before the half-hour mark as Fred Kajoba’s charges took the half time command.
Fred Ssegujja added the second goal on 80 minutes for a 2-0 lead.
Former Paidha Black Angels and URA striker Villa Oromochan pulled a goal back on the stroke of full time to create a nervy climax to the game.
Only one player, Bright Stars’ Dan Birikwalira was cautioned by referee Robert Donney.
Bright Stars’ midfielder Methdious Jjungu was named the best player of the game, a reward that comes with a plaque and a cash reward of Shs 100,000.
This was Bright Stars’ 9th victory of the season in 28 games, ascending by one position to 9th with 38 points.
BUL succumbed to their 11th loss of the campaign, falling to 7th as they remain on 41 points.
