- Montreal Impact 2-1 Seattle Sounders

In the aftermath of their hard-fought 2-1 win against Seattle Sounders in the MSL Eastern Conference, midfielder Michael Azira has hailed the rest of his Montreal Impact teammates.
Saphir Taider netted a brace for Montreal Impact who rallied from a goal down to win the contest at their Saputo Olympic Stadium on Thursday.
Seattle Sounders had taken the lead on 64 minutes through Victor Rodriguez’s penalty following a foul by another Victor entity, Cabrera.
Ten minutes later, Taider was composed to bring the game level with a penalty.
Four minutes later, he poked home the second to give Montreal Impact the victory.
This was Montreal Impact’s 18th game of the season, taking them to 27 points, one shy of the leaders Philadelphia Union who have played two games less.

It was really big for us to get this win. We needed it.
Michael Azira as quoted by www.tsn.ca
Azira diligently played the game for 90 minutes and at one stage forced goalkeeper Stefan Frei into a save with a great effort.
The league takes a three week’s break and the necessary breather for Azira to link up with the national team, Uganda Cranes, ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Montreal Impact will be back in action at home against Portland Timbers on 27th June 2019.
