Micho: Uganda Cranes to get perfect check-up from Uzbekistan mini-tournament

2022 Navruz Cup:

• 25^th – 29^th March
• Markaziy Stadium, Namangan city – Uzbekistan

Uganda Cranes landed an invitation to a four national mini tournament (2022 Navruz Cup) in Uzbekistan, central Asia.

Uganda is among the four countries that will take part in this tournament between 25^th to 29^th March 2022.

The other three countries are the hosts Uzbekistan, who will be joined by neighbors Tajikistan and Kyrgz Republic.

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic notes that this mini-tournament will help him prepare for the upcoming AFCON 2023 qualifiers.

“We are to have been invited for the Navruz Cup in Uzbekistan. This will be a general check-up for team in preparation of the Total Energies AFCON 2023 qualifiers” Micho revealed.

Detailed programme:

Uganda Cranes opens up Tajikistan on 25^th March 2022.

On the same day, Uzbekistan shall take on Krygz Republic.

The third place play-off and final matches will then be held on 29th March 2022.

All the matches will be played at Markaziy stadium in Namangan city.
