Overview:
A couple of artisan golfers at Entebbe club have been drawn to play in the 2023 Entebbe Ladies open alongside most tried and tested players.
The official tee-off for the 13th Entebbe Ladies Golf open will be on the morning of Friday, 3rd March 2023 at the par-72 lake side golfing facility in Entebbe Municipality.
A total of 84 golfers in the silver and bronze categories have been pooled between 9:00 AM to 12:20 PM.
A new champion awaits the tournament since the 2022 winner Peace Kabasweka will not take part (on maternity leave).

The quartet of Entebbe Lady captain Jovia Namaara Tugume, vice chairperson of the Uganda Ladies Golf Union Rita Akot Apell, Pamela Tumusiime and Margret Njuki will swing off first, at 9 AM.
The reigning Uganda ladies open winner Martha Babirye tees off at 11:10 AM alongside Jackie Kwesiga, Faridah Nalukwago and Mackline Nsenga.

Bridget Basiima will play with Venessa Peris, Irene Zulu Chabala and Caroline Namutebi at 9:30 AM.
Another artisan Resty Nalutaaya will line up with Mercy Ssebagala, Concepta Namutebi and Rose Azuba at 10:10 AM.


These will be followed by teenager Frista Birabwa playing with the tried and tested female players as Eva Magala, Monica Ntege (2014 winner) and Dorren Kyakyo at 10:20 AM.
Jinja club’s Catherine Pavie, arguably among the oldest players in this championship will tee-off at 12:00 PM alongside Berna Musanabera, Judith Komugisha and Babirye Nayiga.

The main group (gross players) will play 36 holes in two rounds on Friday (3rd March 2023) and Saturday (4th March 2023).
The subsidiary category (higher handicap female players and men) will join the fray on the final day.
The subsidiary event players (handicap 17 to 36) will have net scores considered, over 18 holes.
Prizes:
Besides the glittering trophies, air tickets, the golfers who excel will also receive other goodies during the official prize giving ceremony.
The tournament has several sponsors and partners as Uganda Airlines, KCB Bank, Entebbe Club, Britam Insurance, Pepsi and Temupe Farm, among others.

Day two and the official prize giving ceremony will take place on Saturday, 4th March 2023.
