A big field to a tune of 200 golfers is expected to take part in the two-day Entebbe Ladies Golf Open championship.

The highlight of the 2023 Entebbe Ladies Golf championship will be the involvement of the only two female professionals in the country; Irene Nakalembe and Flavia Namakula.
This was confirmed during the official launch of this annual tournament, now running for 13 years.


This launch was graced by Entebbe club lady captain Jovia Namaara Tugume, the two lady pros Nakalembe and Namakula, vice president of Uganda Ladies Golf Union Rita Akot Apell, representatives of the sponsors and other officials.
We are ready to have the 13th edition of the Entebbe Ladies Golf Open at Entebbe club. The championship officially tees off on 3rd March 2023 and will climax on the following day.

A big field to a tune of 200 golfers is expected to take part in this two-day championship.
The main group (gross players) will play 36 holes in two rounds on Friday (3rd March 2023) and Saturday (4th March 2023).
The subsidiary category (higher handicap female players and men) will join the fray on the final day.

The sponsors and partners include KCB Bank who contributed 10,900,000/=, Uganda Airlines (two travel air tickets to top performers), Britam Insurance and Crown Beverages Limited under the Pepsi brand.
The defending champion is Peace Kabasweka, a member of Toro club in Fort Portal city.


The mode of play will be medal (gross) for the ladies with handicap category of 16 and below who, for the main event, will be playing 36 holes.
The subsidiary event players (handicap 17 to 36) will have net scores considered, over 18 holes.
Prizes:
Besides the glittering trophies, air tickets, the golfers who excel will also receive other goodies during the official prize giving ceremony.
