Since 2011, so far around 73 Ugandans received the GKS. Some of the recipients organized an alumni group of the scholarship in Uganda, led by Stephen Mugera.
“The alumni has been implementing various kinds of activity every year with the Embassy as blood donation drives, visits to children’s homes (Good Hope and Future as well as Naguru Remand Home).” Mugera spoke to Kawowo Sports Media.

This year it supported Uganda-Korea Friendship Association Annual Meeting and promote the scholarship on 18th October, 2023 in the National Theatre.
It shared the details of GKS program to members of the Association and students who attend the Korean Movie events.
Many students got interested in the scholarship and others willing can visit; www.studyinkorea.go.kr.

In the future, we plan to visit different Television stations, radios and share more about the Korean culture. The talk shows are informative and educative. We also plan an annual event to promote the GKS program.
