The Cricket Cranes had a mixed day of results winning by six wickets in the morning against the ACHA team but falling short by 21 runs in the afternoon against the Omtex ICWC.
The morning win was the second victory for the Cricket Cranes out of their seven games so far with Ronald Lutaaya (50) notching up his second half-century of the tour.
The left-handed batter got support from Robinson Obuya (36) as they chased down 128/4 in 17.5 overs.
The bowling of the unit has improved to make sure the batting isn’t chasing down big totals. Dinesh Nakrani (3/20), Frank Nsubuga (2/12) and Innocent Mwebaze (2/24) picked the wickets as the Cricket Cranes limited ACHA to just 124/9 in the 20 overs.
In the afternoon, game Uganda did well limiting the Omtex ICWC team to 127/8 in their 20 overs. Frank Nsubuga (2/26), Dinesh Nakrani (2/20), Innocent Mwebaze (2/17) and Kenneth Waiswa (1/114) were among the wickets.
The run chase was going well especially when Dinesh Nakrani (26) and Robinson Obuya (29) came together but once that pair got out the Cricket Cranes lost 6 wickets for a miserly 11 runs and were eventually running out of resources with the score at 106.
The squad has played eight games so far in India but has been on the wrong end of the result six times and managed only two victories so far.
The tour is meant to help the Cricket Cranes prepare for the T20 World Cup in June in the West Indies.
They will play their final tour match tomorrow before returning home on Sunday.
