Overview:
Uganda women handball team is pooled in group B alongside Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali.
The Uganda national women handball national team has set target of a podium finish at the 13th African Games in Accra city, Ghana.
The team arrived in the capital city, Accra on Monday afternoon and straight away checked in at the official games venue.
Head coach Aziz Yakoub is optimistic about a great performance during the handball games that throw off on 14th March 2024 at Bortyman sports complex.
“We have prepared well and expect a competitive championship. The players are physically and mentally ready for the task at hand” Yakoub who is deputized by Jimmie Remmie Orotin stated.

Uganda opens up the campaign against Cameroon in group B this Thursday. There will be a day’s rest before taking on Democratic Republic of Congo on 16th March 2024.
The final game will come against Mali on 18th March 2024.
Group A has hosts Ghana, Burkina Faso, Algeria and Angola.
Team composition:
Uganda’s 13-man team is captained by Amina Ajema. The other players are Hilda M. Abangit, Doreen Ondoa, Lilian Achola, Patience Damulira, Shakirah Bako, Diana Tiperu, Barbra Nantume, Patricia Arago, Priscilla Aber, Jesca Nakamanya, Diana Nakamya and Brenda Adokorach.
