Uganda recovered from two goals down to win the contest against Congo 4-2Â during the first semi-final at the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday evening.
Amour Servyl Akouala and Mignon Koto scored to give Congo a 2-0 lead by the mandatory half way mark.
In a quick twist of events, Uganda Hippos recovered in the second half with a brace by Bruno Bunyaga.
The two other goals came from left footer Abasi Kyeyune and the immensely gifted Hakim Mutebi.

Addressing the media in the official post-match press conference, Congo head coach Clementt Massamba Madieta attributed the loss to fatigue.
“It was a bad day” Massamba who was crestfallen noted through an interpeter.
“My players were fatigued. We did not have enough rest time from the last game played. The players were physically tired” he added.
Uganda ran the show in the second half and scored four goals past goalkeeper Chris Dhody Guelor Bissila.
The Hippos will now take on hosts Ghana in the final due on Friday to determine who takes gold or silver.
The bronze medal match will be between Congo and Senegal. Senegal lost 0-1 to Ghana in the second semi-final.
Massamba has turn put the focus to getting bronze as a consolation.
“We shall do our best to win the bronze medal as consolation. We need to bow our heads and focus on the third place match” Massamba stated.
Meanwhile, the women U-20 final at Cape Coast stadium has hosts Ghana against Nigeria whilst Uganda and Senegal will fight for bronze.
