Ghana U-20 beat Uganda U-20 1-0 during the football finals of the 13th African Games at Accra Sports Stadium. Jerry Afriyie scored the all important goal on the stroke of full time. Zambian official Hilary Hambaba was center referee. Abdessamad Abertoune (Mauritius) was 1st assistant. Renovat Bizumuremyi (Burundi) as 2nd assistant. Ahmed Abdul Razg (Libya) as fourth official. Ali Ahmed (Somalia) the commissioner and Nasiru Sarkintudu Jibril (Nigeria), the general match coordinator.

The lads forgot to play their game until the last 10 minutes.
Gave Ghana too much respect. There was a whiff of stage freight too and a few players seemed to be playing to the gallery or for contracts.
Good experience for the team, crew and FUFA.
Now plot these player’s transition to the senior team. The spine should progress to the Kobs (U23) and Cranes.
Afiriye …as always..that name is a problem to Ugandan football
The guys are not bad,, if all are maintained together, they are better than the senior team
I think Ugandan football just developing compared to that of Ghana so let’s salute our young hippos for the good job they did
