The 2024 FIM Africa Central Africa Motocross Championship (FIM CAC) returns to Uganda this weekend for the first round.
Unlike before when the event took place on Easter weekends, this year, the event happens a week earlier and it will be heading out side the capital city(Kampala)
For the first time the events heads to Masaka and kicking off on Saturday with a practice run and heat 1.
Sunday will provide the climax of the race as riders battle out the two heats to seal their slots for a regional title ahead of the second round in Kenya.
Just like before, the competition will be between Kenya and Uganda who fielded more riders compared to Tanzania.
MX50 and MX65 are anticipated to put up an exciting show having registered more than ten riders in each.
Team Uganda is at an advantage to claim the overall victory after fielding more than 40 riders for the weekend race.
Kenya and Tanzania will only be out to chase for category honors.
The weekend’s event will also play the third round of the National MX championship.
