Less than a week after lifting the 17th league title as SC Villa captain, Kenneth Ssemakula has confirmed leaving the club.

In a statement released on his social media pages, Ssemakula thanked every one associated with the Blues and says he leaves with sweet memories.

“As I bid farewell, I leave with a heart full of memories and a sense of pride that we have accomplished together,” read part of the statement.

“The 17th title we clinched in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season will always hold a special place in my heart but is camaraderie, the friendship and the sense of belonging that I will cherish the most.”

Ssemakula who started his career at Busoga United before joining BUL leaves as a true legend of the Jogoos having lifted the title.

His next destination remains unknown but reports point to clubs outside the country.

  1. As an SC Villa fan, I wish Kenneth all the best in his endeavours. If his next destination does not work out, he should remember that SC Villa will always be his home. Gavin Kizito moved and came back when it failed to work out.
