Buhimba United Saints football club recorded their first victory of the season in the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League on Saturday, 12th October 2024.

Lucas “Mane” Mola scored a brace over visiting Onduparaka at the Kigaaya primary school playground in Hoima city on match day two.

Introduced in the second stanza of the game, Mola scored in the 57th and 74th minutes against the Caterpillars past goalkeeper Hamadian Ajida.

Derrick Byabachwezi missed a glorious opportunity to give Buhimba United Saints the lead when his spot kick at the stroke of half time was wasted.

This was the first ever match for Buhimba United Saints in the FUFA Big League since being promoted to the second division last season.

In two matches, Onduparaka is yet to get a win after their opening home match ended in a goal-less draw with Paidha Black Angels in the explosive West Nile derby.

Meanwhile, Booma Football Club edged Blacks Power 1-0 at the Masindi stadium with John Wesley Kisakye on target in the 15th minute.

Match day two continues on Sunday, 13th October 2024 with four matches in Entebbe, Jinja, Mityana and Bukedea districts.

In Entebbe Municipality, Gaddafi, under new management of Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) will take on Kigezi Home Boyz at the refurbished Entebbe Works playground.

Gaddafi played to a 1-all draw with Kaaro Karungi in Ntungamo last weekend whilst Kigezi Home Boyz humbled visiting Ntugasaze 2-0 in Kabale courtesy of Joseph Sseremba’s brace.

usoga United will entertain Kaaro Karungi at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja city.

A wounded Ntugasaze outfit will play-host to Kiyinda Boys at the Ssaza ground, Mityana.

Kiyinda Boys beat MYDA on match day one 2-1 at the Barthelem playground, Gayaza.

In Bukedea, MYDA squares up against Calvary at the Kongunga primary school, Bukedea.

At the end of the season in May 2025, three clubs shall be promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
