Corporate Boxing Bout:

  • Match-up: JK Kazoora lost to Shakib Lutaaya (Two rounds were played)

When city socialite Shakib Lutaaya took to the ring to fight media personality JK Kazoora at the fully packed NCS Indoor Arena in Lugogo, Kampala, many supporters expected a thrilling contest.

The highly anticipated inaugural corporate boxing bout powered by Bwinbet Uganda indeed lived to the billing as every jab, guard and body movement was cheered aloud by the hundreds of passionate boxing fans across the divide.

From the ring walk of these two boxers, the fans screamed their lungs out as they sang aloud for the majestic arrivals of the corporates.

Lutaaya, husband to businesswoman and socialite Hassan Zari looked much fitter and flexible with great footwork as well as defence was very impressive in the opening two rounds.

He threw punches, twisted his body well for defence as he scored points.

The spouse (Zari) was pensive throughout the bout and at one moment sipped water before burying her hand in the veil.

Predictably, at the start of the third and final round, JK Kazoora succumbed as he removed his head gear, gloves and gave up to avoid further punishment.

The two boxers embraced much to the delight of the crowd before the night’s referee declared Lutaaya as the runner.

At this moment, Zari Hassan who was part of the VVIP guests raced to the ring with energy, hugged the husband Lutaaya and the pair quickly embraced before a cozy romantic moment with a magical breathe-taking kiss.

“I thank my brother JK Kazoora for accepting to fight me. I am happy for Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi who organized this fight and I thank the fans for coming up” Lutaaya, who was visibly excited stated.

On the other hand, JK Kazoora conceded defeat with humility. “This was really great but though. I will return to training soon for other opponents. The aspect of Corporate Boxing is really good and should be supported” JK Kazoora revealed.

The corporate fight was a curtain raiser on the highly explosive champions league that marked week 11.

Other corporates in attendance included musician Navio, Ebonies director Sam Bagenda (Dr Bbosa), politician Hajjati Hadijah Namyalo (of the NRM national chairman office) and others.

Hajjati Namyalo promised Ug.Shs 200,000 to every boxer on the champions league menu for the night and Ug. Shs 10,000,000 to Shakib Lutaaya, the winner of the Corporate contest.

Fans celebrated until the wee-hours of the night. More corporate bouts are planned in the pipe-line.
